A leading Atlanta law firm is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant for a direct-hire, permanent position. This Legal Assistant will join a wonderful team of attorneys whose work includes corporate and commercial real estate transactions.To be considered, the Corporate Legal Assistant will have at least five years of experience providing administrative support to attorneys in a corporate or real estate practice in a law firm. Candidates must have exceptional MS Word and Excel skills, excellent time management, proofreading and editing skills, be confident, professional and friendly in communication and enjoy interacting with clients and colleagues.Responsibilities include:Opening new matters and sending engagement lettersDrafting legal documents, correspondence and memos; proofing, editing and formatting documentsFiling documents with the Secretary of StateManaging attorney emailsManaging calendars of attorneys, scheduling meetings, travel and client development eventsPreparing monthly expense reports for reimbursementEntering attorney time into billing programClient interaction via phone, in person and email correspondenceHandling other related legal administrative duties and assisting with special projectsBenefits here are extraordinary and include generous PTO, medical, dental and vision plans, an annual profit-sharing contribution, 401(k), short- and long-term disability and much more.
