HR Manager/ Payroll

Beacon Hill is assisting our client to locate Human Resources candidates who can manage a wide variety of tasks in HR, Payroll and associated duties. This position will be a full-time, contract-c to-hire, on site role and located in Cumming GA. Our client is an equipment manufacturer and HR supports both office and plant employees. This role is perfect for someone who is comfortable in handling all the functions of HR and payroll with recruitment, on-boarding and compliance along with employee relations. It is a "never have a dull and boring day" position. HR:Run ads, screen and interview prospective employees for hireMaintain employee files from first day of employmentEnsure that all new employees are entered in company ERP system and all federal, state and corp forms are completed correctly for each employeeEducate all new employees concerning company's medical, dental, vision and 401K benefits. Enroll any employees that wish to participate into respective plans. Ensure that a timely termination is done in all plans if any individual leaves Company Complete First Report of Injury on any work-place injuries i.e. Workers CompMaintain OSHA logs. Compile pertinent information for annual Workers Comp AuditEnsure that Company receives its Drug Free Workplace credit on Workers Comp policy by scheduling Drug Free training annually and renewal of certificateMaintain a balanced relationship with all employeesPAYROLL:Track time for all employees in company ERP system and Time Clock. Ensure that engineering and fabrication hours are being entered to jobs.Process Payroll and Direct deposits biweeklyMaintain sales commission spreadsheetsMaintain spreadsheets for 401K deferrals and employer matchUpload 401k and HSA after each payrollFederal and State quarterly taxes compiled and submitted in timely mannerProcess W2's and 1099'sOur client is not seeking a payroll only employee but candidates that are well versed in all aspects of an HR manager or generalist. Strong preference is given to those who live and drive easily to their Cumming offices daily. Candidates who have also had some bookkeeping or accounting background in addition to HR would transition with them quickly. Being able to communicate easily with the Owners to the front line workers is important. This is a great position for someone who is seeking a smaller vs. large corporate setting working with a tightly knit, tenured group.
