I am a quadriplegic who needs an additional caregiver to work providing my care in my home. The job is W2 employee position. I prefer a LPN with an active license, but would consider an experienced CNA or MA who has spinal cord injury caregiving experience. I do train caregivers well, but I must have caregivers who take ownership of their responsibilities. This job can include 12-hour shifts, 24-hour shifts, and even longer shifts like entire weekends. This caregiver role has their staff bedroom, bathroom, and use of the kitchen for me and yourself. Long shifts include ample sleep time.
My caregivers all are responsible for my morning and evening care, have confident and safe driving skills, be comfortable and friendly with my small dog, and have a clean driving record, clean criminal background check, and pass a drug screen.
I use a power wheelchair and take a shower every night. My bowel and bladder care is quite typical, and this job requires flexibility to fill-in in case of a staffing emergency with another caregiver. There can be no tobacco use, vaping, alcohol use, or other drugs unless prescriptions are necessary and do not interfere with providing services to me. There can be no restrictions on lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, or stooping. Candidates must be healthy and collaborative. Confidentiality is required. Current CPR and Hepatitis required.
I pay using an accountant and direct deposit weekly, so all taxes are solid.
