Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Prep and Line Cook to join our kitchen team- Full & Part time positions available.
The ideal candidate will have experience in prepping ingredients and cooking in a high-volume, fast-paced setting, with an understanding of contemporary Asian cuisine. If you have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients for cooking according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Cook and assemble dishes according to the menu and recipe specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
- Ensure proper food storage and handling to maintain quality and food safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management and ingredient ordering when necessary.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines while handling food and kitchen equipment.
- Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a prep cook or line cook in a professional kitchen (preferably in an Asian cuisine setting).
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for contemporary Asian cuisine and a desire to learn and grow.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with contemporary Asian cooking techniques and dishes.
- Culinary school education or formal training is a plus.
