Line Cook/Assistant

MetroFresh needs someone awesome to be part of our team. We are looking to immediately hire a new line cook/assistant chef. This is a full time position with 35-40 hours per week. The restaurant is about to celebrate 20 years in business and has a loyal clientele that enjoy the "farm-to-table" creative breakfast, lunch and dinners. Many of our regular customers eat at MetroFresh multiple times a week - some more than once a day. You will work directly under Chef Rob, the Chef de Cuisine, creating a new dinner menu with five entrees every 4 months as well as 2-4 weekly specials. We are really looking for a fun, creative, independent person to round out the kitchen staff. It is particularly important to be able to work well with and be part of the whole team. We are a family atmosphere and each new person must feel like part of our family. We emphasize a peaceful and fun work environment even when it gets stressful. Dinner volume ranges from 20-50 covers nightly. You must be self motivated and be comfortable working by yourself on the line. Please do not apply if you are unable to work weekend nights.
