Product based solutions such as our pharmacy purchasing coalition round out our broad-based suite of offerings.The RoleThis role will support our efforts to grow voluntary insurance consulting opportunities in the mid-market along with oversite and management of the VB portfolio of product and services. The position will be a subject matter expert role focused on managing the mid-market sales support team who is focused on new business sales; manage the changes and updates to the products and services for VB; focus on collaboration with the placement and sales teams . This will require execution of a growth/sales strategy, including the on-going refinement of the product strategy. Key operational activities are developing / architecting the infrastructure to support client delivery, including training of CST, internal cross-LOB collaboration, and coordination with external partners/carriersPlease note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States.Performance Objectives:Clients
Supports the mid market team in the delivery of sales and placement results to clients
Creates client specific business plans to ensure growth, retention and expansion goals are met
Serve as senior level escalation point for client and operational issues and drive solutions develop effective tools for consultants to distil menu and carrier options for their clients
Maintain pulse on product and solution developments, documents and communicate to teams.
Manage and maintain product and solution partner relationships, with goal to provide most competitive products in industry
Serves as a product subject matter expert with both internal (consultants, local VB teams) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors)
Identify processes, implement and maintain integrity of standardization across all local VB teams.
Serve as senior level escalation point for carrier issues and drive solutions
Excellence
Coordinate with placement team to ensure service levels meet or exceed client expectations and professional excellence standards
Ensure quality of deliverables through maintaining updated product and service information
Financial
Negotiates with client/carrier for the efficient delivery of services as profitable fee or commission levels
Work with WTW Finance staff to negotiate compensation from carriers and vendors including commission and override components (when appropriate)
Maintain an understanding of current industry practices and peer organization approaches to product and solution compensation to keep WTW competitive
People
Mentors and provides feedback internally to other team members
Keep Line of Business apprised of additions and updates to our product and services capabilities
Respond to associate inquiries regarding product and services activity, and plan developments
Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
Build relationships with internal and external resources
Participate in interim an annual performance management process
The Requirements
10+ years experience and success in the design/management of large group voluntary benefit plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment; prior experience in underwriting or in an actuarial function gained in a carrier environment preferred
Proven ability to generate revenue
Track record of success in managing large client relationships
Experience in managing multiple people and projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges
An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills
Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization
Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches
Availability to travel 20-30% based on seasonal business development
Bachelor’s degree required
Hold a valid insurance license or be willing to obtain
Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).CompensationThe base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000 - $155,000 USD.This role is also eligible for an annual short term incentive bonus.Company BenefitsWTW provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply):
