Tax Director

Our industry niches include manufacturing/distribution, real estate, construction, technology, transportation, private equity, financial services, staffing and professional service firms.Tax Directors are responsible for (but not limited to):· Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations at all levels of complexity· Ensuring all federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws· Delegates and manages tax research projects to achieve an accurate and efficient product· Participates actively in client meetings and tax planning efforts to assist the Business Assurance Department with larger clients· Acts as a resource for tax preparers/specialists and Business Assurance Staff on specific tax issues and/or questions· Assumes client service responsibility for clients working directly with the clients when the responsibility is delegated from the Partner· Communicates to the appropriate firm personnel important tax and tax developments affecting the firm’s clients· Supervises tax team and provides on the job training· Assists the Business Assurance (Audit) Department with larger clients when deemed necessary
