Supervisor, SCM Risk ManagementJOB SUMMARYThe purpose of this position is to provide strategic direction and coordination of all aspects of the Risk Management program for Supply Chain Management (SCM). This includes facilitating interactions with stakeholders and suppliers as well as ensuring the company’s commitment to risk management is communicated and demonstrated clearly to internal and external stakeholders. This position’s scope of responsibility includes developing strategies for third-party risk management, applying risk segmentation of suppliers, identifying the most significant supplier risks, and managing through the mitigation of critical supply chain risks. This position is also responsible for providing company leadership insights on global supply chain impacts to the company.JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation

Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, supply chain, economics, or related field

A supply chain management certification (e.g., CIPS, SCOR-P, APICS) and/or risk management certification (e.g., CRISC) is a plus.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in supply chain, required

Previous experience with risk management, compliance, or governance desired

Experience managing projects and cross-functional teams

Knowledge and Skills

Ability to demonstrate effective communication (both verbal and written) skills with the ability to interface with customers, engineers, suppliers, and executives at all levels.

Strong internal partner focus and commitment to partner value.

Strong project management and change management skills.

Ability to develop and implement risk management strategies.

Broad knowledge of SCM technology (example: Maximo).

Broad knowledge of supply chain functions and how they interact.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the context of risk, compliance, and related regulations, industry standards and guidance.

Ability to analyze economic and other current events and understand impact on the supply chain.

Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

Ability to manage competing priorities, both external and internal.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, implement, and manage a strategic risk management program to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks in the supply chain.

Develop and coordinate strategies to execute risk management concepts in the supplier lifecycle activities including supplier analysis, evaluation and selection, onboarding, performance management and termination.

Drive leadership and other stakeholders to make risk-informed decisions throughout the strategic and business planning processes by the integration of risk management.

Monitor, measure, and communicate the effectiveness of the supply chain risk management program.

Work across multiple states / jurisdictions to transform complex supplier risks (e.g., finance, compliance, operations, performance, reputation, geopolitical, etc.) into scalable, cost-effective solutions using sector and competency knowledge.

Demonstrate and apply risk management concepts such as risk governance, risk appetite and risk tolerance, risk limits, key risk indicators (KRIs), key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost benefit analysis.

Integrate supplier risk management concepts into existing end-to-end supply chain management practices such as supplier relationship management, contract lifecycle management and sourcing.

Develop and apply risk quantification/scoring and perform Supplier risk assessments.

Create and manage remediation of findings, including development and implementation of new policies.

Identify and drive process/program improvements to support the strategic vision.

Work with utility peer groups and other external organizations on benchmarking and learning best practices.

Maximize the use of technology to drive effective adoption of the supply chain risk management program.
