Come join us.The opportunity:Flexport’s IT organization is​ looking for a passionate, results oriented Senior Technical Program Manager with solid technology understanding. In this role you will manage the delivery of a variety of projects of various and nature in a diverse environment with multiple stakeholders and multiple resource pools, to enable IT functions/processes throughout the business.You must be able to initiate and manage programs and dependencies via solid understanding of the IT objectives and the related IT Infrastructure and Platform Service technologies, communicate clearly among stakeholders and team members, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You are proactive in creating program vision and roadmap, developing and following through on project plans, identifying program/project headwinds, facilitating resolutions, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are able to curate and present relevant data and articulate extremely complex technical dependencies to facilitate informed decision making during escalations. You drive the definition of work planning and execution tracking processes and the underlying tooling support enabling progress visibility and reporting.You will:

8-11+ years of project management experience leading large-scale information technology programs and projects, including requesting / securing approval to start projects through project closeout

8-11+ years of experience of implementing technology solutions in a hypergrowth environment

Mastery of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management including tools and techniques (e.g., project planning, risk/issue management, governance, cost/benefit analysis, project change controls)

Risk exposure assessment and mitigation

Developing and managing budgets across multiple projects

Ability to facilitate working sessions with large, cross-functional teams (business, technical)

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Raise the bar in the organization by being a role model in identifying issues, owning and implementing improvements proactively. Mentors individuals and teams in best practices for planning and execution.

Able to intelligently and succinctly articulate the significance of the challenges we are facing, and understands how projects within the sub-portfolio will alleviate these issues

Exceptional and adaptive written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel from the business, IT leadership and frontline staff.

Manage and maintain project backlogs and ensure forward momentum with project execution.Support the team by setting up Kanban and run SCRUM standups, monitoring burn down charts, and coordinating retrospectives.

Creative, self-confident, and flexible

You should have:

Ability to travel throughout the US, Europe and APAC as needed.

Understanding of IT Infrastructure, office builds, Identity and Access, SaaS, and user endpoint management.

Understanding of the interdependencies between IT systems and solutions

Ability to identify the different stakeholders and engage them in a timely manner during the design and implementation.

Ability to manage multiple IT projects.

Strong understanding of Agile methods and practices through multiple teams (Scrum and Kanban).

Experience with planning and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence Wiki.

A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in PMI or Agile

Strong experience with engineering practices
