Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Insurance industry, based in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves meticulous document handling, accounts reconciliation, and journal entries preparation. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be expected to work with large volumes of data, handle prepaids and accrual expenses, and manage month-end procedures.Responsibilities: Oversee the reconciliation of accounts receivable Efficiently prepare journal entries as part of the accounting process Manage large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy and consistency Handle prepaids and accrual expenses, ensuring accurate record-keeping Ensure the smooth running of month-end procedures Use NetSuite for various accounting tasks Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all tasks Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Carry out Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations Handle general ledger tasks and month-end close procedures. Requirements Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the insurance industry Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, and Journal Entries Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with the Month End Close process Experience with the NetSuite software Knowledge of Prepaid Assets management Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar is a plus.
