The role reports to the Director Communications & PR and is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of external public relations communications programs and diverse internal corporate communications programs (may include social media).Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Confers communications counsel to management in the articulation of issues. Responsible for moderately complex and sensitive employee communications projects and periodic publications.

Writes speeches and articles for public relations purposes.

Analyze and confer expertise as a team member related to supporting development and implementation of major communications programs (may include social media content) and may act as project manager for assigned portions of communication program development, assist in strategic plans, content development, media relations, video and digital asset creation, social media, news site placement and content development execution and employee communications.

Create and manage publication of in- house bulletins.

Write editorials and feature articles and secure necessary approvals.

Makes decisions relating to layouts for each issue, contracts for artwork, and informs printer of typeface, size of type, measure of lines and other instructions to be followed.

Oversees preparation of dummy page layouts and makes changes required to match available space.

Manages distribution of periodicals to company and other personnel.

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Frequently interacts with functional peer group managers.

Must maintain an understanding of industry trends affecting the company.

Expected to engage with peers and managers at all levels across business units to assist in coordinating public relations work.

Education:

High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts.

Experience:

2-5 or more years of experience in related areas of responsibility.

Our Specialist Manager Communications & PR, earn between $64,200 - $96,400. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
