The Manufacturing QLSCM (Quality Leadership System Component Management) team supports and develops various Quality applications and tools to support our Vehicle Battery & Powertrain Teams.This is a senior software development position with a focus on development for the QTS platform (a critical 2-way communication system between manufacturing (PLC) devices (to build vehicle components) and the related IT solutions). You will collaborate with engineers from the Vehicle Battery & Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering teams and IT staff to design and deliver projects and features. You will be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of products in the manufacturing space using agile, test-driven development principles. As a technical leader the candidate will utilize SOAP service, Rest API, Visual Studio framework (C#, ASP.NET, MVC framework), Oracle suite, Windows services, and other technology components to develop and refine solutions. This position will primarily focus on the build of engineering data pathways to support emerging Electrification programs, and the modernization of legacy Web Portal business modules (to reduce risk with aging technology).What you’ll be able to do :

Lead software advancement on agile team to deliver working, tested software.

Collaborate with business partners to define requirements.

Work in a collaborative environment that includes design, and pairing and mobbing with cross-functional team members.

Validate and release applications using continuous integration and continuous delivery tools including development of automated testing.

Establish functional messaging simulations in test environment (Web server solutions; data translation layers for IT interface solutions) for legacy and emerging technical architectures.

Help shape the product vision by providing your input on the user experiences (Build Verification; Birth History; Component traceability)

Communicate effectively with product owners, product designers, software engineers, and other technical experts.

Continuously upskill to share leading industry standards with team.

Demonstrate technical knowledge/leadership skills and advocate for technical excellence.

Provide frontend and backend expertise and mentorship to other software engineers through design and code reviews, documentation, best agile practices, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

The minimum requirements we seek :

Bachelor's degree in Computer science / Electrical Engineering

5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience: Web services (SOAP, XML and Rest APIs)

5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience: Visual Studio suite toolset (C#, ASP.NET, MVC framework)

Demonstrated strength and 5+ years' experience with Oracle (stored procedures, triggers, PLSQL) as well as Windows services.

3+ years' experience with frontend (HTML, jQuery, CSS, JavaScript), middleware (WCF)

3+ years' experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, JFrog, Github, etc.)

3+ years' experience in eXtreme Programming (XP) disciplines including Paired programming, Test-first/test-driven development (TDD)

Our preferred requirements :

Exposure in Architecture and Software Design Pattern, and machine messaging (MQTT, FMP, OPC DA)

Excellent written and oral communications skills
