The Senior Director, Investor Relations serves as a liaison between senior executive management, and the investment community and its influencers ensuring fair dissemination of all financial and strategic information critical to an investment in KO stock, and ensuring management is continuously aware of potential areas of investor concerns and questions. The individual must have outstanding strategic thinking skills, deep knowledge of the Company's business model and financial performance, and high impact communication and relationship building skills. The individual must understand the workings of the global financial markets and be able to immerse themselves quickly in various areas of global regulatory and complex economic issues. He or she must also analyze and devise new communications strategies and responses to difficult issues and be able to quickly advocate the Company's position to senior management and all external stakeholders and their influencers.POSITION DETAILS:Location: Atlanta, Georgia3 days per week in officeFunction Specific Activities - The following is a list of top Function-Specific activities performed in the job.

Serve as a primary communicator to the global markets and explain the corporate strategy and how current market and performance conditions affect this strategy to the largest holders of the Company's stock and their influencers. Outcome of these interactions is often an increase or decrease in share ownership of the Company's stock affecting its valuation.

Predict and strategize with internal constituencies the investor's reaction to corporate announcements and market issues, and take responsibility for shaping perceptions of the company and the valuation on the most critical areas of investor concerns and questions

Work with internal teams to gather global performance data, competitive analysis, and in-depth financial and strategic information to draft and issue earnings and news releases on material information to the investment community and other external stakeholders. Such announcements must be made in accordance with regulatory and exchange mandates, and must reflect data and information internal constituencies deem to be both required and preferable to be made public.

Manage large-scale broker sponsored and company-sponsored analyst presentations, spearheading more intimate contact between top senior investment managers with multi-million dollar positions in KO stock. Collaborate with internal business groups to gather, deliver and prep management for the detailed questions key investors and influencers will require information on.

Prepare top line messaging materials around key issues to be used by internal constituencies in crafting Q&A, talking points or position statements for senior management around messages and issues that could significantly impact the short- and long-term valuation of KO stock. This includes major corporate announcements of the Company and its bottlers (e.g. M&A announcements), competitive or global economic events, and sensitive topics including corporate governance and sustainability issues.

Analyze current and potential institutional ownership of the company's stock and create, and execute a plan to develop the optimal shareholder base for the company. Segment the potential investors by portfolio management style, and size and potential holding period of the position and create customized financial messaging strategies to engage and maintain their ownership.

Guide and review the development of complex financial models for both the Company and its competitors to develop an internal strategic and competitive framework from which senior management team can better assess overall corporate performance and institutional investor expectations. Identify areas of concern to senior management and advocate additional messaging to ensure critical investor questions are answered, and market capitalization is not unduly put at risk.

Work with internal financial communications and design individuals to ensure the creation and maintenance of high impact communications materials across a variety of vehicles including public filings, the corporate website, social media and a variety of external publications.

Ability to be a thought driven IR leader with a collaborative and influential leadership style and the ability inspire others into action and to think creatively about solutions. Your stakeholders trust your judgement and seek your perspective.

Collaborate with executive level leaders, head of IR, sustainability and governance partners, and digital enterprise partners on strategic level initiatives, internal and external communication, and different methodologies for the future advancement of the IR function.

Global Financial Markets: Expert knowledge and experience in what motivates financial analysts and investors, the type of financial and strategy information they require to do their job, and which communications tools are the most effective to reach them. Includes knowledge of the dynamics of equity and bond instruments in the global markets.

Shareholder Relations: Deep knowledge of the workings of the investment community and its influencers and ability to understand, explain and project portfolio management issues

Financial Disclosure: Extensive knowledge of securities laws and regulations (e.g., Regulation FD) that govern a company's financial communication and disclosure with outside stakeholders (e.g., investors, sell-side analysts, individual shareholders).

Independent Point of View: Knowledge of the external environment in which the Company's business is conducted. Includes ability to offer a broad perspective that extends beyond a particular functional discipline (e.g., marketing, finance) and draw upon knowledge that comes from frequent interaction with different functions, employees, research and analysis, and sources and constituencies outside of the Company.

Spokesperson: Ability to represent the senior members of the Company's strategic and financial viewpoints effectively to KO's core institutional investors, and key influencers including sell-side analysts and top financial media professionals. Includes ability to quickly communicate very complex financial issues transparently, clearly, and without jargon.

Advocating/Counseling Sr. Management: Ability to counsel and advocate positions to senior management on complex financial and strategic issues.

Project Management: Ability to manage large scale projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) to establish clear goals and accountabilities.
