We are looking for
Senior Computer Operator for our client in Atlanta, GA Job Title: Senior Computer Operator Job Location: Atlanta, GA Job Type: Contract Job Description:- Under limited supervision, it monitors BPE/TPE transactions, all environmental, security, electrical & UPS systems.
- Checks the network systems to ensure statewide access.
- Works with vendors for hardware/software.
- Ensure all printed output is of high quality and defect-free.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience as a Computer Operations Operator in a large data center.
- Experience w/a Network Operations Center (NOC).
- Experience w/production control.
- Experience with distributed servers running AIX, Linux, and Windows.
- Experience w/data center security, HVAC and electrical in a data center.
- Experience w/Control-M, TPE/BPE Manager.
- Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college AND 2 years of related experience.
- Completion of either a two-year certificate/degree from a college, university, or technical school in an IT field or equivalent work experience in IT.
- Experience as a Computer Operator in a large Data Center.
- Experience with a Network Operations Center (NOC).
- Experience with Production Control.
- Experience with Control-M.
- Experience with TPE/BPE Manager.
- Experience with security in a Data Center.
- Experience with Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) in a Data Center.
- Experience with electrical power in a Data Center including generators and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
- Experience with a raised floor in a Data Center.
- Experience with fire detection and fire suppression systems in a Data Center.
- Experience with Change Management policies, procedures, and software.
- Experience with Incident/Problem Management policies, procedures, and software.
- Experience with Asset Management policies, procedures, and software.
- Experience with Networks, such as LAN/WAN, MPLS, TCP/IP, and SNA.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Experience with automated job schedulers.
- Experience with hardware/software maintenance contracts.
- Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
- Experience with State and/or Federal government.
- Experience with distributed servers running AIX, LINUX, and Windows.
