Position Title: PLC Programmer Senior Specialist Position Location: Must relocate to or live in Atlanta, GA SALARY DLB recognizes salary ranges from job boards do not necessarily reflect our pay ranges. JOB SUMMARY The SCADA Programmer Senior Specialist provides technical support and leadership to plan, schedule and execute software engineering and implementation of SCADA platforms for Building Automation System (BAS), Electrical and Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and software integration projects in industrial, utility, manufacturing, and mission critical / technology sectors. The SCADA Programmer Senior Specialist will work with design engineers, project managers, field technicians, construction contractors, equipment vendors and client staff to ensure proper operation and acceptance of the automation and software solutions. The SCADA Programmer Senior Specialist will be self-directed on day-to-day work and receive high level instruction on new projects or assignments. u202F Will execute and lead automation projects of complex scope.u202F May coordinate activities of other personnel. This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Engineer and Implement SCADA Platforms or Projects (70%)

Lead development of SCADA front-end and back-end to meet project requirements and DLB standards

Lead Level 2 and Level 3 testing of SCADA in conjunction with field technicians

Lead Level 4 and 5 testing with commissioning teams

Communicate regularly with subcontractors, project managers, AEs and commissioning agents on project progress

Lead customer training and development of related documentation

Develop and Maintain SCADA Software Standards (20%)

Lead development and continuous improvement of SCADA configuration, programming, networking, and diagnostic standards

Lead development of UI / UX configuration standards

Lead efforts to train and mentor others on software standards

Reporting (10%)

Assist with all project communication and reporting

Prepare development of project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders

Manages personal hours using company tools

Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget

Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ADVANCED LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)

Skilled with all Ignition modules including Vision, Perspective, Reporting, and Alarm Notification.

Skilled with Python for scripting in Ignition

Skilled with SQL databases for database management and queries

Knowledge of networking concepts and configurations for TCP/IP, VLANs, LANs, VPNs and RSTP

Skilled working with common BAS and SCADA protocols BACnet IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, OPC, OPC-UA, SNMP, MQTT, Rest API

Skilled at best practices for Cybersecurity related to SCADA systems

Skilled at managing and analyzing historical data from SCADA systems

Skilled at UI/UX concepts, best practices and standards

Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management

Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail

Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace

Ability to follow company and site safety requirements

Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)

Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact

Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision

Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines

Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others

Ability to achieve certification for NFPA70E and / or OSHA training as / if required

Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

TRAVEL / RELOCATION REQUIREMENTS

Up to 25%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states

International travel may be required based on individual skill, training and project needs

Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meeting for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.

Potential relocation opportunities may exist per project needs

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or related discipline

OR

Two years of experience with SCADA hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of building management system infrastructure

PLUS

Minimum of eight years of additional experience with SCADA hands-on installation, configuration, testing, validation and troubleshooting of building management system infrastructure

Ignition Gold Certification required
