Purchasing Manager General Info Job Type: Full-Time Location: Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. - Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta, Georgia Minimum Experience: 4 years of experience Pay: $85,000+ annual base salary plus $10.21/hr. fringe benefit for healthcare and welfare benefits and/or 401(k). Job Description:

The purchasing manager will negotiate with vendors for the purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment and services used by the company.

Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.

Ensures compliance with ISO 9001 procedures.

Seeks competitive quotes for all material purchases < $3500.00.

Develop new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.

Examines bids and makes awards.

Establishes account/credit and terms.

Negotiates blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors costs during the time period.

Check requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers.

Works closely with supervisors to ensure proper supplies arrive.

Manage special project budgets.

Maintain subcontractor database and related documentation.

Build ISO purchasing procedures based on contract requirements.

Traces delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.

Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.

Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.

Maintains all subcontractor documentation to ensure that all subcontractors remain compliant with all FSE and customer requirements.

Maintains the purchase order log and assists the accounting manager with budgeting and tracking costs.

Tracks the bio-preferred purchases and provides reporting as required.

Works directly with the Contract Administrator to set budgets for the next fiscal year.

Other Tasks Performed:

Review and maintain all fire systems paperwork and initiate work for any findings.

Maintain FSE sharefile access for employees.

Create JotForms for new ISO documents with approval flow charts.

Maintain up-to-date FSE compliance video training from all staff.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience dealing with vendors to purchase materials that must meet specific requirements, developing criteria for competitive pricing and procuring the materials.

Must have experience reviewing product data to ensure the material meets the purchasing requirements.

Experience developing scopes of work and dealing with subcontractors to procure services that meet the scope of work.

Must be familiar with reviewing subcontractor submittals to ensure that the subcontractors can meet the requirements of the job and ensure that CDC’s insurance and document requirements are met.

Must understand the ISO purchasing requirements and have experience selecting materials and services that meet the requirements.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).

Requirements:

Employees may be subject to immunization and testing requirements pursuant to Client and current Company requirements.

Employees must meet the requirements of the federal credentialing process to access the facility, which includes but is not limited to, obtaining facility access (aka PIV card, smart card, access card, badge) and meeting ongoing training and access requirements.
