Position OverviewThe Coca-Cola's Summer Internship program is an 8-10 week experience at our headquarters in Atlanta, GA. The Process Engineer intern will be responsible for supporting the development and optimizing robust processes for new and existing beverage packaging at our Package Engineering Technology Center located in Atlanta.  This includes activities related to operating equipment (Ex: injection, blow molding, surface treatment and post processing activities) to develop & validate processing conditions, designing, testing, and validating new designs. This position will support daily needs with guidance from KO process SME's.Function Related Activities / Key responsibilitiesSupport Atlanta Package Engineering Technology Center

Learn and operate process equipment as per established SOP's with guidance from SME's

Perform quick analytical tests for bottle process support

Develop start-up / shut down procedures for new equipment to be installed in the tech center.

Assist SME's with process set-up, profiling and sampling; assist in troubleshooting molding problems; utilize SPC to identify and drive process improvement

Participate in internal brainstorming, bring fresh perspective.

Document process learning's and publish processing reports.

Follow established GMP & rules for molding equipment and operation. Help create best practices documentation as needed.

Practice 5S to organize tooling, molds, change parts, etc., to achieve workplace requirements.

Assist with warehouse management as needed.

Collaborate with concept creation and design teams internally to integrate technical expertise early in the design process.

EducationCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Plastics Engineering, with an expected graduation date no earlier than December 2024.Related Work ExperienceStrong mechanical aptitude, course work related to polymers / plastics science and engineering. Part design experience is a plus. Interest in equipment operation and hands-on work. Course work / projects related to using AI tools would be a plus. Strong ability to work independently, solve problems, and drive to winning solutions.Compensation$5026 per monthThe Coca-Cola Company is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
