Description We are seeking an experienced Payell Manager to oversee our payroll department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 10 payroll coordinators in processing payroll for a large workforce of 5,000-6,000 construction employees across multiple jurisdictions. This position requires advanced knowledge in payroll software, with demonstrable experience in Kronos, UltiPro, and ADP systems, and experience in the US (including California) and Canada payroll processing.Responsibilities:
Supervising and mentoring a team of 10 payroll processors.
Managing payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely pay for all our 5,000-6,000 employees.
Overseeing compliance with standard payroll regulations across multiple jurisdictions, including the US and Canada.
Maintaining knowledge of regulatory changes and updates regarding payroll.
Reviewing work processes and implementing improvements as necessary for efficiency.
Ensuring proper setup and use of Kronos, UltiPro, and ADP payroll systems.
Gathering and analyzing payroll data for the creation of financial reports.
Resolving any payroll discrepancies or issues.
Administering all employee benefits and insurance programs.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field.
At least five years of experience in payroll management, preferably within construction industry.
Dynamics experience in managing mid to large-sized teams.
Exceptional knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and requirements (US and Canada)
Proficiency in Kronos, UltiPro, and ADP systems is mandatory.
Strong skills in data analysis and report generation.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
Solid understanding of prevailing payroll software, technologies, and practices.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail are essentia.
Professional certifications in Payroll (e.g., CPP) will be highly valued.
