Assist in the designing, planning, testing and implementation phases of cybersecurity mainframe technology projects. Responsible for technical support of information security technologies providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner.
Participate in efforts related to designing, planning, enhancing, and testing all cybersecurity technologies used throughout the enterprise including base-lining current systems, trend analysis, and capacity planning as required for future systems requirements and new technologies.
Support mainframe security high visibility and critical projects to harden security footprint through engineering mitigating solutions.
Mainframe security support, maintenance, and monitoring of z/OS systems including RACF, zSecure, RRSF, and critical company applications.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Harden company security footprint through engineering automation-based solutions.
Support the creation and management of operational keys and application program interfaces used for encryption of data in-flight between environments and platforms.
Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the use of new information security technologies, or modifications to existing equipment and systems that will provide capability for proposed project or workload, efficient operation, and effective use of allotted resources.
Provide technical support of information security technologies, providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
Design, create, delete, modify, and verify RACF security groups, user accounts, resource/data set profiles, certificates, keyrings, and permissions using zSecure and native RACF commands.
Support and comply with internal/external audit requests, ServiceNow requests, and IAM Access Requests.
Perform analysis, design, documentation, testing, implementation, and on-going support for the infrastructure mainframe security environment.
Maintain high quality and consistency for security settings, rules, and procedures.
Provide recommendations for the security settings of mainframe software products and features.
Provide input and follow-through for continuous improvement to mainframe security.
Learn to configure zSecure, develop reporting, and improve automation using REXX, SQL, SAS, and CARLa.
Participate in team on-call coverage rotation, which includes tactical security administration and provide support on weekends. Participant in disaster recovery tests (on weekends), audits and penetration testing. Provide 24/7 support for Truist operations.
Lead small cybersecurity projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
In-depth knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security.
Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Mainframe systems support and/or infrastructure experience is also desired. or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
IAM configuration, implementation, and management of IAM solutions including: user provisioning, directory services, RBAC, Application onboarding, Access Certification, etc.
IAM /IDM experience including; Role management, entitlement, access certification, privileged access controls, separation of duties (SOD), user / application provisioning, de-provisioning, RBAC, etc.
Ability to program command Mainframe batch and reporting language (such as: JCL, CARLA, REXX, CLIST, ISPF, SAS)
Direct RACF experience including demonstrated skills with RACF architecture, z/OS system and security knowledge, JCL, and batch processing, and RACF security controls.
Banking or financial services experience.
