DescriptionGeorgia-Pacific is currently recruiting for a Large Capital Projects Controls Lead- Remote or Hybrid to support the Project Services team for the Corporate Projects and Engineering Group. This group consists of individuals across the United States working with our 22 continuous manufacturing facilities on capital project execution.The Large Capital Projects Controls Lead will be responsible for the overall success of the project controls on the project. They will be involved in estimating, cost reporting, scheduling, risk identification and document control. This person will be a leader that will drive the project controls agenda.This position is a remote or hybrid position with travel involved. The amount of travel would be up to 25% dependent on business needs. What You Will Do In Your RoleLead Project Controls capability on a group of projects in Georgia-Pacific to achieve superior project resultsResponsible to manage the development and implementation of an effective Project Controls capability on a group of projects to support capital project execution, including developing and executing the plan for estimating, scheduling, cost engineering, metrics, reporting, workload resource planning, risk management, and document controlsResponsible for identifying and implementing project controls tools and enablers, by coordinating with the project teamResponsible for providing change management tools and processes for capital project teamsPartner with Sourcing to implement strategies and manage relationships with contractors and 3rd party providers of project controls resourcesEnsure project controls talent is sufficient on each project to ensure successful implementation of the Project Controls PlanKnowledge share with other leaders across the business to benchmark, identify, and implement innovation opportunities in project controlsTravel up to 25% of the time to do site walks and go out to the manufacturing floorThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:Five (5) or more years of experience in at least one of the following project management areas: project estimating, project planning, project scheduling, or project cost management riskIndirect leadership experienceExperience using Microsoft Word to create and edit documents, Excel to create spreadsheets, Outlook for email correspondenceAble to travel up to 25% of the timeWhat Will Put You Ahead10+ years project controls experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience using Primavera and MS Project scheduling softwareExperience using Ecosys EPPM softwareExperience working with risk analysis tools such as @RiskExperience working with multiple ERP systems including SAPProject Management Practices (PMP) and/or ACCE CertificationsExperience leading project controls on projects over $50MMBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or ScienceOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
