If you’re ready to start learning, growing, and making an impact with a career in fintech, we’d like to know: Are you FIS?About the TeamThe Fund Administration team is a growing, fast-paced business unit responsible for maintaining direct client relationships, as well as the day-to-day accounting and administration of closed-end funds managed by clients.What You Will Be DoingPrepare period-end financial packages including investor statements for private equity fundsPrepare period end financial statements and all associated disclosures under GAAP and IFRSManage overall client relationships interacting with fund financial controllers.Service as escalation point for clients ensuring client satisfaction and resolving any issues raised by clients staffDevelop and ensure execution of action plans for remediating client issues as requiredLiaise with internal Virtus from FIS groups, vendors, and other third-parties to ensure service levels impacting assigned clients are adequate.Act as key point of contact for clients, auditors and other third parties for a defined portfolio of fundsSupervise staff and ensuring deliverables are prepared accurately and timely.Review offering documents and agreement ensuring that funds are setup in accordance with the fund documentsProvide Subject Matter Expertise with respect to closed-end fund accounting and financial reporting for platform enhancements and technology developmentAssist with client onboarding which includes, but not limited to, loading of client's tax lots, cash balance and trial balance onto the accounting platformAssist in year-end audit by providing backup documentation for sampling selected by client's auditorsPrepare expense budget analysis and perform expense calculationsMaintain daily and monthly accounting recordsProcess capital commitments, calls, and distributionsCoordinate the preparation and distribution of the investor capital statementPerform ad-hoc functions related to fund requirementsEnsure client month-end and reporting deliverables are satisfiedWork closely with clients to resolve inquiries and ensure client satisfaction​What You BringBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experienceTypically, 5-7 years of experience with financial statement preparation and private equity accounting, plus at least one year of experience in a leadership roleKnowledge of securities and fixed income assetsWorking knowledge of accounting systems (Geneva, VPM) and allocations (Investran)Highly proficient with Microsoft software with advanced Excel skillsStrong knowledge of investment company accounting, partnership accounting and investor capital allocations processStrong financial reporting skills, including consolidation accounting.Experience with private equity accounting principles, including knowledge of investor accounting and waterfall structures.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWhat We Offer YouA career at FIS is more than just a job.
