Description Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled Freight Payment Specialist for a leading logistics and transportation company based in Atlanta, GA. As a Freight Payment Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of freight payments, resolving payment discrepancies, and providing support to both internal stakeholders and external carriers.Responsibilities:
Research and resolve freight payment questions and issues related to invoices, rates, aged bills, etc.
Provide support to sites and carriers on overall freight audit payment invoice processes/rules.
Review 3rd party Freight Audit and Payment (FAP) providers' exception reports and resolve discrepancies.
Manage sites' exception invoice count and send reminders as necessary.
Monitor, manage, and resolve freight payment issues from group email boxes.
Identify patterns/trends and resolve issues with applicable parties.
Process accessorial invoices in our Transportation Management System (OTM).
Monitor, manage, and resolve freight payment inquiries from various email boxes.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in freight payment or financial and transportation fields.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills.
Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with a sense of urgency.
Top 4 Must-Haves:
Prefer a candidate with freight experience, especially in rail.
Experience with invoicing and freight payments.
Candidates with Transportation Management System (TMS) experience are HIGHLY PREFERRED!
Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
