Job SummaryAs an Executive Chef at FISD, you will lead our culinary team with outstanding passion and precision. This role offers the outstanding chance to craft outstanding menus and foster a collaborative kitchen environment in an education setting. Your expertise will craft our dedication to providing world-class, wholesome meals, and you'll be pivotal in successfully implementing our nutrition education programs in the Atlanta, GA market.Key Responsibilities:

Plans and develops both regular and special diet menus according to established guidelines.

Strictly follows standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards, ensuring every meal is flawless.

Trains kitchen staff on food preparation, allergen awareness, and sanitation practices based on company and regulatory standards.

Establishes cleaning and maintenance schedules for all equipment and work areas, ensuring compliance.

Manages inventory to meet established guidelines while making sure all necessary products are readily available.

Determines appropriate use of leftover food products within company guidelines.

Aligns with all health and sanitation regulations as evidenced through audits.

Adheres to all safety policies and procedures, including occurrence reporting.

Participates in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

A.S. degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.

Prior culinary experience in an education setting preferred

Experience in high volume, complex food service operations.

Institutional and batch cooking experience preferred

Menu planning experience

Special diet planning

Hands-on chef experience essential.

Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, and cost controls.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer programs.

ServSafe certification highly desirable.
