You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.We are seeking an experienced Early Career Recruiter to deliver on Ferguson’s Early Career hiring goals. In this role, you will build trust-based relationships with Business Leaders, University Partners, External Vendors, and Candidates alike.Location:This role is Hybrid in Newport News, VA, in accordance with company policy, 3 days in office / 2 remote. Remote will be considered if outside of Hampton Roads.Responsibilities:

Build partnerships with universities, student organizations and other programs as needed (both in-person and virtually) to facilitate curiosity about Ferguson, ultimately building a solid pipeline of qualified candidates.

Build strong and credible relationships with managers, internal associates and external candidates and partners.

Provide direction and leadership to hiring managers on interviewing techniques, best practices in identifying talent, and navigating labor market challenges.

Public speaking, both virtually and in-person with the ability to generate excitement around Ferguson and relevant early career opportunities.

Drive a focus on the candidate experience to ensure our candidates are treated with the highest standards of customer service, integrity and professionalism.

Complete administrative tasks in an organized fashion, with attention to detail and follow-up skills – handling the hiring process in Workday, candidate screening, communication with candidates, and related tasks.

Work across the business and HR to solve problems, offer creative solutions, and address recruiting challenges.

Qualifications:

2+ years Early Career / University Recruiting experience is required.

Large size company with 15K+ employees strongly preferred.

For internal associates : 2+ years Ferguson experience preferred and a passion for Early Career recruiting.

Prior experience recruiting for Sales or Sales Programs is a plus!

Bachelor's degree or equivalent military/professional experience preferred.

Ability to travel 40%+ on an as-needed basis. Adequate airport access for frequent travel required.

Strong public speaking and presentation skills to a variety of audiences.

An ability to interact with candidates, exude confidence in leading conversations, and promote Ferguson.

Excel in a fast paced environment, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.

Ability to work independently while contributing to the team goals.

Excellent influencing and problem-solving skills at all levels.

Highly organized with proven attention to detail and ability to prioritize work as this role blends challenging long-term projects and short-term tasks.

Technically savvy. Role relies heavily on use of Workday, LinkedIn, Handshake, Modern Hire, Smartsheet, Microsoft Platforms (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), and other technologies.
