If you are a self-led, energetic professional, Honeywell currently has an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your skills in a key role as a Solution Consultant. The candidate can be located anywhere in the North American Region. The Solution Consultant will provide support to account managers, customer acquisition reps, and business consultants in the coordination of sales process tasks for larger opportunities. You will assist in scope development with the customer, “up-selling” additional scope where possible, to include estimate and proposal support. This role requires up to 50% Domestic travel Responsibilities: · Provide technical insight and trends in support of sales pursuits, primarily in the airport airside market. · Provide vast technical knowledge and experience to help close high level sales. · Bring technical tools, processes and products that will help to underpin key sales strategies. · Deliver technical training on new technology for sales professionals and external customers. · Responsible for demo and technical positioning of our solutions against customer needs and requirements. · Review and ensure compliance with specification requirements. · Support sales professionals during technical and risk review processes. · Support bid response, functional system review, competitive comparison and review for accurate estimates and new applications of technology. · Business Relationships: Primary relationship is to support the sales professionals in winning opportunities; (i.e., providing Whiteboard support) and determining technical components related to customer’s mission critical factors; provide market feedback to marketing and sales professionals. Sales Process: Support both sales professionals and customers during the technical requirement definition and solution development sales process steps. Customers: Participate in the creation of the customer technical roadmap; customers include both internal and external. People Management: Work as a team player with many sales professionals in assigned geography. Acts as a resource in support of the sale to address the customer’s technical and application requirements. Leadership: Provide coaching to sales professionals as it relates to their assigned application specialty. Results: Achieve orders, margin, and growth for assigned areas of expertise within region. Basic Qualifications: · Airport airside experience working for a large airport or consultant in the airport space · Understanding of FAA requirements and airport operations · Bachelor’s Degree or in lieu of degree 3 years of experience with Sales or Technical delivery in the Building Controls field · 2 years of Sales or Technical experience in the Building Controls field Additional Qualifications: · A strong team player · Establishes and builds credibility quickly · Can clearly articulate technical value and demonstrate how solutions map to a customer’s needs and drivers · Balance and persistence in customer follow-up · Sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future technical trends accurately; learn quickly and think independently to adapt as required · Utilization of effective problem solving skills · Demonstration of effective questioning skills · Management of time and demonstration of self-discipline · Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication · Strong data analysis and application capabilities Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
