Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Atlanta, Georgia. The chosen candidate will be engaged in a variety of tasks including the processing of invoices, maintaining meticulous financial records, and ensuring the accuracy of the organization's financial documents. The role is primarily based in the financial industry and will necessitate a high level of organization and attention to detail.Responsibilities: Post business transactions and process invoices in a timely manner Verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records Provide necessary clerical support to pay the obligations of the organization Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables Ensure the accuracy of the organization's financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes Take necessary measures to protect businesses against unintentional overpayment Monitor payments to ensure they are made to vendors in a timely manner Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures Input daily record-keeping in our ERP system, NetSuite Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential Experience with NetSuite software is required Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high volume environments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and vendors Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is essential Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
