Field Inspector / Asst Project Management Trainee / Intern
Job Description:
Small family-owned company is looking for a Construction Field Inspector Internship / Assistant Project Management Trainee to work directly with the Project Manager. The ideal candidate will perform various duties throughout the entire construction process in the telecommunications field. This will include everything from site evaluation to closeout of the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform site candidate evaluations
Assist in site layout
Review construction drawings for accuracy and completeness
Perform bid walks with General Contractors
Conduct pre-construction meetings with General Contractors
Coordinate with local power and telephone companies for utilities
Perform site visits throughout the construction process
Ability to plan ahead in an attempt to minimize contractor down time and delays
Perform punch walks upon completion of the project
Verify accuracy and completeness of closeout documentation submitted by GC
Experience reading and understanding construction drawings and documents
Coordinate equipment upgrades as required due to changes in technology
Ability to work with a positive attitude and turn problems into opportunities
Candidate will be required to drive personal vehicle throughout Atlanta area and at times the surrounding area.
Overnight travel will be necessary at times.
Candidate will work out of their own home and out of local office.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
Must have computer experience using Excel, Word, Adobe, Powerpoint, email, mapping software and experience using a digital camera.
Mac experience preferred
Must possess excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Must be detail oriented and have ability multi-task.
Must be organized, a self starter and be willing to learn.

This COULD be a part-time position for a student depending on your availability. We are willing to be somewhat flexible if we find the right candidate. So this could be a full-time or part-time schedule.
