Position Overview
Seeking a highly organized and versatile individual for a Hybrid position. This individual will oversee daily operations both in the office and in the field. This role is responsible for coordinating administrative functions, managing fleet operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting business efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance people management and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Office & Administrative Management
Oversee day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, invoicing, and customer communication.
Maintain accurate records of billing cycles, contracts, and compliance documents.
Serve as a point of contact for condo/HOA contracts and customer inquiries.
Support management with reporting, data entry, and policy implementation.
Fleet & Field Operations
Supervise daily fleet operations, including truck readiness, route optimization, and compliance with safety standards.
Ensure pre-trip and post-trip inspections are completed and documented by all drivers.
Monitor and enforce policies for fuel receipts, landfill tickets, and mandatory end-of-day dumps.
Track fleet maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, and minimize downtime.
Operations & Team Leadership
Assist in hiring, training, and supervising drivers and field staff.
Provide hands-on training for staff on operational software (Hauler Hero) and company procedures.
Support conflict resolution and customer satisfaction efforts, including direct communication with customers when necessary.
Work closely with ownership to implement action plans, improve efficiency, and drive accountability across the organization.
Qualifications
Proven experience in operations management, fleet management, office administration, or a related field (waste management/transportation industry preferred but not required).
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage both office staff and field employees.
Prefer someone with experience in route management and fleet compliance but not mandatory. Must have experience with customer service best practices.
Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office or similar) and ability to learn new systems (Hauler Hero).
Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation required (CDL preferred but not required).
