Job Title: General Manager - Stage Theatre

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our stage theatre. The General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the theatre, including budgeting, financial management, staff supervision, event coordination, marketing, and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in theatre management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for the performing arts.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure efficient and effective theatre operations, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

2. Develop and implement strategic plans and policies to drive the theatres success and achieve financial goals.

3. Prepare and manage the theatres annual budget, closely monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial stability.

4. Lead and supervise all theatre personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

5. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of theatre productions, including scheduling, ticketing, technical requirements, and artist liaison.

6. Collaborate with the artistic team to ensure seamless production processes and high-quality performances.

7. Develop and execute marketing strategies to maximize audience engagement and attract new patrons.

8. Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, including sponsors, community organizations, and local authorities.

9. Maintain a safe and compliant working environment by adhering to all applicable regulations and safety guidelines.

10. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in theatre management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Theatre Management, Arts Administration, or a related field would like to have but not required; Masters degree preferred but not required.

2. Proven experience in theatre management, including budgeting, financial management, and personnel supervision.

3. Strong knowledge of the stage theatre industry, including technical aspects, production processes, and audience dynamics.

4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

5. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

6. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.

7. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies.

8. Familiarity with industry software and tools, such as ticketing systems and event management software.

9. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

10. Passion for the performing arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to the audience.
