The Team and Job Summary We are seeking a Finance & Operations M&A Integration Project Manager to join our Corporate Development team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Corporate Development team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional Finance & Operations M&A Integration Project Manager .The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of M&A Integration, but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks. This section is to include specific detail about the programs/initiatives the selected candidate will be part of. The Finance & Operations M&A Integration Project Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, direction, and implementation of all Finance and Operations M&A activities. They will provide support for the Finance and Operations team that includes, but is not limited to, managing project workstreams, overseeing the execution of integration project plans, managing integration budgets and developing reports to provide visibility into the health and progress of M&A activities post-close and post-integration. They will also play a key role in onboarding newly acquired team members through system training and various onboarding activities. This role reports to the Vice President Head of M&A Integration and works closely with Controller, CFO, Finance Leads and Project Coordination Leadership. Key qualifications for this role include polished senior executive presence as you will be representing J.S. Held to senior executives in the company being acquired, attention to detail, a passion for quality, and broad business and technical understanding. Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Power Bi is a must, comfort with teaching how to use these systems is a plus. To succeed in this role the Project must have a high-level of drive, initiative, and proactivity and ability to create structure and standardize processes in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. Must be able to create, maintain, and enhance project schedules and budgets, drive clearly defined deliverables, and hold project team members accountable. Job Responsibilities

Due Diligence to close

Support the Finance, Operations and Project Coordination leadership and team throughout due diligence and integration of Newly Acquired Firms (NAF)

Conduct integration discovery, summarize key findings and considerations and Initiate project workstreams specific to each acquisition target and organize project kickoff and weekly calls with Finance leadership.

Track received and pending internal and external requested diligence material, distributing requested materials to appropriate integration team members.

Facilitate the seamless transition from due diligence to integration planning among Finance and project coordination team members

Identify key stakeholders on the NAF team that will be involved in planning and executing Finance, Operations and Project coordination activities

Post-close to Integration:

Liaise with NAF leadership and J.S. Held

Work with Finance, Operations and Project Coordination leadership to define the integration project goals, objectives, tasks, timelines, project plans, and budgets and effectively manages, tracks, and communicates them to all relevant stakeholders

Identify finance and operations gaps with J.S. Held (time, expense, billing and invoicing, third party collaboration, project files managements) and create training and change management plans to help mitigate gaps, working with the Finance and Project Coordination leadership

Coordinate and support integration activities with other team members to assure deadlines are attained, such as transition of Accounts Payable process, Accounts Receivable migration, project setup in D365, D365 accounts creation, bank account transfer, month-end finance activities, Contractors and vendor onboarding and payments

Schedule and facilitate weekly finance calls to review integration plans and provide status updates

Plan and facilitate the migration of Newly Acquired Firms Finance and Operations activities from their legacy systems into Dynamics 365 and Power BI and provide necessary system training where applicable

Log, track and report cross-functional integration expenses and costs working with functional integration Project Managers and Specialists in Marketing, Technology and Human Resources

Post-Integration Accounting & Finance Reporting

Complete monthly reports on recent acquisitions for 12-24 months post-close

Hold calls with recent acquisitions to speak through financial trends and integration feedback

Present numbers to J.S. Held’s Executive Team, which will in turn present the figures and feedback on acquisition performance to J.S. Held’s Board of Directors

Day to day

The position assumes responsibility for continuous improvement in activities, operational projects, integration and implementation for the department and the organization

Project Manager will be responsible for driving efficiency, enhancing collaboration, and optimizing overall team performance

Report status of ongoing integrations and mergers and escalate issues as needed

Assist in building out Finance Post Merger Playbook and onboarding documents

Assist with ad hoc analysis and projects as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelors in Finance/Accounting, Project Management Business or related fields

Experienced with 2 years as an M&A Finance Project Manager or 3 to 4 years in a similar role, preferably with experience in fast-growing professional services companies and best-in-class established organizations.

Experience in D365 F&O, QuickBooks, Power BI and similar ERP preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of financial accounting, compliance reporting, budget preparation and business plan development

Ability to partner with a range of stakeholders from finance and non-finance backgrounds to drive performance and integration

Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities

Excellent time management, prioritization and deadline adherence

Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Strong project management, change management and system training skills.

Someone with a clear, direct, approachable, and friendly communication style and strong customer service orientation.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to build relationships and trust at all levels of the organization.

Travel 20% - 30%

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $125,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
