The Fixed Asset Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the Asset Accountant with accounting and administrative responsibilities. Key Duties

Process depreciation expense for all books.

Review invoices related to fixed assets, ensuring proper expense or asset capitalization.

Process monthly leases invoices

Review and process all long-term lease transactions in accordance with lease guidelines and IFRS lease requirements for both financial and operating leases.

Ensure lease paperwork is complete and agrees with system information.

Verify documentation for internal controls compliance.

Maintain supporting documentation for all transactions.

Update and maintain recurring entries, clearing the intragroup transactions.

Provide a detailed review of journal entries and account balance reconciliations.

Assist with compiling monthly fixed asset roll forward schedules for all books.

Upload fixed asset activity to FAS (SAGE).

Assist in the preparation of the financial statements

Provide external audit work papers accurately and timely.

Participate in the implementation of any new accounting rules and accounting

Qualification Requirements

Hold a bachelor’s degree or have a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in asset management, accounting, financial, or administration activities.

Apply good analytical skills and demonstrate a clear understanding of accounting principles.

Efficiently prioritize tasks, ensuring timely completion and project/task delivery.

Demonstrate exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

Exhibit strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask effectively.

Display self-motivation, high integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Communicate effectively in English.

High proficiency in the use of advanced Excel functions and standard MS Office software (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Knowledge of SAGE and SAP systems is a distinct advantage for employees . Must be well-organized and detail oriented. Must be proficient with MS Office, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Prior SAP experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Accounting Supervisor to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Regularly required to sit and/or stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.

Employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.

Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Continuous mental attention is required to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
