Pay Rate:The pay rate for this job is $17 - $20 / hourWhat you'll be doing as a Water Waste Operator:
Daily routine of maintenance activities and repair procedures in the water treatment facilities including but not limited to pump maintenance, clarifier maintenance, chlorination system, and preventative maintenance programs
Plan, organize and recommend the improvement of plant facilities through equipment acquisition and new construction; analyze and recommend construction projects
Insure a high level of reliability in the day-to-day operation of the treatment facilities
Maintains a good professional working relationship with other departmental staff and the employees of other departmentsrepairs/maintenance activities.
Provide status updates on all treatment facility processes

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Three (3) years of experience with water treatment programs
Must have a good working knowledge of FDEP rules and regulations concerning potable water and wastewater treatment
Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver's License
Must possess a State of Florida Class B Water Treatment Operators License or ability to obtain within one (1) year
Background check and drug screening required
