Pinch-a-Penny, a local and family-owned franchise pool and spa store, is hiring hardworking and dependable workers for the position of Customer Service & Sales Associate. This position is perfect for those with excellent organization and strong customer service skills. POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for keeping the store clean and orderly, performing water testing, filling pool additive jugs, and helping customers with anyneeds and concerns that may arise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

Top performers are able to complete these essential duties;

1. Great customer service skills!

As the Customer Service & Sales Associate, you are the customers’ friendly point of contact for all pool-related questions and concerns. The ability to actively listen, identify customer concerns, and match their needs with products or services is a must.

Perform water balance testing and answer customer phone calls

Assist customers with purchases; load items into vehicles

2. Detail oriented organization and cleaning skills

Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep furniture displays and counter areas uncluttered, keep trash emptied, etc.

Daily cleaning such as; mopping floors, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning windows

Breaking down cardboard boxes

3. Retail product and inventory management

Accurately process sales and returns

Keep detailed records and receipts for management

Maintain adequate stock of pool chemical supplies, report supply shortages, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

The Customer Service & Sales Associate requires constant walking, bending and lifting as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. The position also demands strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to manage customer service in person and over the phones - sometimes simultaneously.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Potential candidates must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and be at least 18 years of age.

1-2 years of customer service experience preferred, previous retail and/or pool supply experience is ideal.

Be well-groomed and professional!

Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish

Previous experience is not mandatory, but preferred. If you feel you are the right candidate with a great personality, strong customer service skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow- we will train you!
