Our operations rely on advanced machinery to maintain seamless production, and we’re seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance, optimization, and future development of our critical equipment.
Role Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Manager is a hands-on, leadership role responsible for managing the performance and reliability of our mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery. This position requires a proactive and reactive approach to ensure all equipment operates optimally in a high-demand production environment. The ideal candidate will excel in creating robust processes, leading by example, and contributing to the design and implementation of new machinery to support operational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-On Maintenance: Directly manage and perform repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery critical to production.
Process Development: Develop, document, and enforce maintenance processes and protocols for team adherence to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Critical Production Support: Rapidly respond to equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
New Machinery Development: Collaborate on the design and implementation of innovative machinery and operational systems to support the company's growth.
Team Leadership: Mentor and train team members in equipment maintenance techniques and processes.
Vendor Collaboration: Work with external vendors and suppliers to source equipment, parts, and services as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular assessments to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and equipment upgrades.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all equipment operations comply with safety and operational standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (required).
M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
Experience:
Extensive hands-on experience with heavy machinery and production equipment maintenance.
Familiarity with glass production machinery is a distinct advantage.
Proven ability to manage and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Experience developing and implementing maintenance processes in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a "hands-dirty" approach to equipment repair.
Exceptional organizational and process development skills.
Leadership and mentoring capabilities to build a reliable and skilled team.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.
