Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced In-House Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our company's management team and external legal counsel to provide comprehensive legal support and assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal matters related to the construction and contracting industry, with the ability to effectively navigate legal challenges and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with management and external legal counsel to research and analyze legal issues relevant to the company's operations.

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to home improvement and general contracting projects.

Manage and maintain legal files, records, and documentation in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

Coordinate legal correspondence and communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations impacting the home improvement and contracting industry, and provide guidance to management as needed.

Provide general administrative support to the legal department and other departments as necessary.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.

Previous experience working as a paralegal in the construction, contracting, or related industry.

Strong knowledge of construction law, contract law, and relevant regulations.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Familiarity with legal software and research tools preferred.
