Job Description:

Roadway Construction, LLC is an established General Contractor located in South Florida and we are looking for a reliable Flagger. You will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and ensuring the smooth operation of road construction projects. Your primary responsibilities will include directing traffic, communicating with construction personnel, and managing road closures or detours.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Traffic Control: Direct and manage the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction zones using flags, signs, and hand signals.

Safety Management: Ensure all traffic control measures are in place and adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.

Communication: Coordinate with construction crew members and other Flagmen to ensure efficient traffic management and safe work conditions.

Signage: Set up and maintain proper signage and barriers to alert drivers and pedestrians of construction activities.

Incident Response: Address and respond to any traffic-related incidents or emergencies on the site, reporting issues to supervisors as needed.

Compliance: Follow all company and regulatory safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.

Job Requirements:

High school degree or equivalent educational experience

Previous experience as a Flagman or in a similar traffic control role is preferred

Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Ability to stand for extended periods, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks as needed.

Valid flagger certification or willingness to obtain certification (training provided).

Keen observation skills to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.

Ability to work well with others and adapt to changing conditions.

OSHA 10 certification preferred

Bi-lingual preferred
