JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a commercial Ballyhoo fishing boat, which consist of a purse seine net. The deckhands (2/4 guys) on the boat will be deploying the net while the captain drives. Once the net is deployed than we have to physically pull the net in the boat with 2 guys so you will need to be in good physical shape/condition.
Boat is located on the Miami River.

Can start ASAP. We will be fishing Monday-Friday everyday that the weather allows us to fish.
Boat duties include;
-6:30am-5:00pm
-Deckhand will be pulling the net, icing fish, tying lines, maintaining the net (fixing holes, tares, rips, etc.)
-Fueling boats
-Checking motor oil
-Basically being boat savvy
-Will need your own transportation to and from the boat to the get to work
-MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM!

-Shop work processing bait. The Shop is in Fort Lauderdale.
-Rigging Bait
-Sorting fish (by size)
-Bagging fish
-Vacuum sealing
-Lifting 25-50lbs
Monday-Saturday 7:00am -7:00pm
1st 2 days on the boat are training days and the pay is $100. If we keep you on board the 3rd day starts $175/day. Pay by the catch is an option once you have some experience.
PLEASE NOTE: NO EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED WE WILL TEACH YOU EVERYHTING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO DO YOUR JOB. HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE FISHED ON A BALLYHOO BOAT BEFORE THATS GREAT. GIVE ME A CALL.
