Madruga Bakery is a craft bakery and cafe located in Miami, Fl. Our foundation is a dedication to traditionally made, naturally fermented breads. We are stone milling whole grains in house, making a variety of healthful, delicious hearth loaves from fresh flours. We bring this commitment to ingredients and techniques into everything we do, offering a rustic line of croissants, cookies, cakes, sandwiches, and more. We put as much care into our service as we do our products, offering warm and genuine hospitality to our customers and staff.
We are seeking a baker who has a keen interest in the arts of fermentation and bread baking and takes pride in their craft.
Job responsibilities include:
-Mixing doughs
-Shaping bread by hand
-Baking bread in a deck oven
-Weighing, chopping, and prepping ingredients
-Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ones feet for an 8 hour shift
-Maintaining safety and sanitation standards while working
A great candidate possesses the following skills:
- experience mixing, shaping, proofing and baking naturally leavened bread
-The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
-A positive attitude and friendly disposition
