Start-up insurance division of an established company seeks a Product Management Director (reporting to CIO) for a direct hire position to be located in West Palm Beach FL area (St. Petersburg is a second option.) Lead product strategy for long-term growth. Focus will be on Digital, Customer experience, Cloud etc. Must have expertise in a similar situation and ideally with insurance P&C domain. Product Management DirectorThe Product Management Director oversees the entire enterprise product portfolio and the product management team responsible for product strategy and delivery. The product management team will create holistic product outcomes in the form of a roadmaps to deliver against the product strategies and ensure continuous growth of enterprise products over the long term.
The Product Management Director will work closely with the CIO and own the product management framework to ensure consistent implementation of product management through agile development lifecycle and drive continuous product improvements in conjunction with customers and internal stakeholders.RequirementsFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.: Directly manage the Product Management team that oversee the entire enterprise product portfolio.: Possess a deep understanding of customer experience; identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.: Own and refine the process and procedures for translating product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes including best practices and tools for road mapping, timelines, project execution, and milestone management.: Own the product roadmap and backlog, prioritize functions against user and business requirements and priorities.: Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.: Work closely with software development teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.: Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members.: Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.: Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.: Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.: Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.: Ensure that user stories are in clearly groomed state, with clear acceptance criteria, to meet desired outcome.: Drive hypothesis base development and feature experimentation exercises (A/B testing) to ensure we deliver effective solutions and value to customers.: Define and own metrics for customer engagement, product performance, product adoption rate, customer satisfaction rates to ensure the product delivers on its objectives.: Continuously conduct customer interviews and surveys to gauge if we are building the right thing for our users.Skills: Proven senior leadership experience in the insurance or related financial services industry.: Strong business acumen, with a strong interest in external Industry environment and trends and ability to apply those to make informed product line decisions.: Knowledge of competitor market conditions and ability to react accordingly.: Understands customer needs and decision-making journey for financial industry customers.: The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization in both written and verbal form.: Strong understanding of business operations and processes, and the ability to identify and implement solutions that solve management needs.: Business acumen to translate product feedback into business solutions and incorporate changes into the product roadmap.: Fluent in Agile methodologies and devops practices.: Capability to efficiently manage both offshore and onshore resources.Vertex Solutions Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, ancestry, religion, age, citizenship, sex, marital or veteran status, disability or handicap, sexual orientation or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.Vacancy caducado!
