AECOM’s Water Business Line is actively seeking an Engineering - GIS Intern for employment in the West Palm Beach, Florida office. The successful candidate will support the civil design teams in South Florida by working with different disciplines to complete a variety of projects. Additionally, AECOM’s dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment.This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Assist with field data collection for stormwater asset management, including locating and documenting culverts using GPS equipment.Record culvert attributes such as size, material, condition, and invert elevations.Enter collected data and photos into ArcGIS Field Maps mobile application.Work under the supervision of a project manager, while also performing field tasks independently at times.Navigate to asset locations using maps and provided tools, including driving between sites in a company vehicle.Perform field work in outdoor conditions, including walking through drainage swales, ditches, and uneven terrain.Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure data is accurate and aligned with project needs.Maintain organized records of collected data and report progress to supervisors.Follow safety protocols and represent the company professionally during site visits.
