Description Job Title: Construction Accounts Payable SpecialistSalary: $23- $27/hrSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMJob Description:We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist with experience in construction accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing AP processes specific to the construction industry, including processing invoices, coordinating check runs and ACH payments, and reconciling vendor accounts. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel for data entry and reporting is essential for this role. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of construction accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.Responsibilities:
Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to construction project budgets and timelines.
Coordinate check runs and ACH payments in accordance with project requirements and payment schedules.
Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain detailed records of construction-related financial transactions, including job costing and expense tracking.
Perform data entry tasks in Excel to analyze and report on project costs, expenses, and vendor payments.
Conduct regular reconciliations of vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to address AP-related inquiries and resolve payment issues.
Assist in month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting for construction projects.

Previous experience in accounts payable, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing, progress billing, and lien releases.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel required; experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is advantageous.
