About the Role:

As a Renewal Insurance Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for our existing clients as their policies approach renewal. Your main objective will be to ensure high client retention rates by proactively managing the renewal process, identifying opportunities to enhance coverage, and providing outstanding service. You will work closely with clients to review their current policies, explain coverage options, address any concerns, and facilitate the smooth renewal of their P&C insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactive Renewal Management: Manage a book of business, initiating contact with clients well in advance of their policy renewal dates.

Policy Review & Optimization: Conduct thorough reviews of existing policies to ensure coverage adequately meets the client's current needs and identify potential gaps or opportunities for improvement.

Client Communication: Clearly explain renewal terms, policy changes, premium adjustments, and available coverage options to clients. Answer questions and address concerns with professionalism and expertise.

Quoting & Remarketing: Obtain renewal quotes from current carriers and, when necessary, remarket policies with other carriers to secure the best coverage and pricing for the client.

Cross-Selling & Upselling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional lines of business (e.g., life, commercial) or upsell higher limits/broader coverage where appropriate.

Documentation & Accuracy: Maintain accurate and detailed client records in the agency management system. Process renewals efficiently and accurately, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

Problem Resolution: Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve billing issues, policy discrepancies, or other service-related concerns.

Relationship Building: Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients through exceptional service and proactive communication.

Compliance: Ensure all renewal activities comply with state regulations, carrier guidelines, and agency procedures.

Market Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and local market conditions in Florida P&C insurance.

Qualifications:

Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty Insurance License (required).

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role within a Property & Casualty insurance agency, with a focus on renewals or client service.

Demonstrated ability to retain clients and provide exceptional customer service.

Strong knowledge of various P&C insurance products, including Homeowners, Auto, Umbrella, Flood, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, Vertafore AMS360, EZLynx) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
