Description We are seeking a Controller located in West Melbourne, Florida. This role is instrumental in ensuring the accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports. This is a critical position that interfaces with multiple departments, including sales, operations, and marketing.Responsibilities: Accurately record and analyze revenues and expenses Prepare and analyze accounting records and financial statements Ensure all financial reports conform to reporting and procedural standards Perform monthly account reconciliations Create and post journal entries with the necessary supporting documentation Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports Allocate expenses between different jobs or cost objectives and bill them as needed Prepare invoices along with the required supporting documentation Support internal controls, GAAP, CAS and FAR regulations as they pertain to accounting transactions Maintain financial security by following internal controls Work closely with internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance of internal controls Assist with investor and lender reporting Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Respond to all customer and vendor inquiries, maintain accurate vendor accounts and collect from customers as needed.Message Kathy Downs on LinkedIn for information and to applyRequirements Must possess at least 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar financial position Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Comprehensive understanding of Budget Processes Proficient in Financial Statement Preparation Experience in Expense Allocation and Expense Analysis Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Ability to create and analyze Cash Flow Forecasts Proficient in Microsoft Excel Must have a strong work ethic, high level of integrity, and be capable of maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently Must have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field CPA required Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a teamRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
