We are excited to announce that we are looking for dynamic team members at Lakeside Neurologic. We are leaders in rehabilitation for brain and spinal cord injury, behavioral health and skilled nursing care.Lakeside Neurologic is currently interviewing for the position of Paraprofessional. Paraprofessionals are important team required to perform the following tasks. Assisting the Teacher with teaching new concepts or translating information for clients to understand better, supervising clients, and providing clients with a positive, nurturing guide. The Paraprofessional will deal with clients, parents/relatives, staff, and the community in a professional manner, and follow and uphold Company’s rules and standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Participating in lesson planning sessions and communicating with parents and interdisciplinary teams in charge of client’s care.

Assists with conducting lessons, managing the classroom and developing materials.

Track client’s progress during the program year and create reports to let parents and or relatives understand what the client is learning.

Empower clients through programs designed to enhance their academic and social achievements.

Work with computers and specialized AV equipment to make these resources available to the teacher during lessons.

Act as a nurturing and encouraging influence for clients during lessons.

Co-teaching lessons under the Teacher's guidance, leading small groups or individual instruction and discussions, and reviewing classwork.

Organizing the classroom and teaching materials, monitoring the classroom during lessons, and minimizing distractions and disruptions.

Supervising clients in and out of the classroom.

Attending to the clients' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.

Helping Teachers and clients with extracurricular activities and school functions.

Performing clerical duties, such as tracking client attendance, typing, filing, photocopying, and grading tests and homework.

Ensuring the upkeep of educational materials, equipment, and supplies.

Tracking clients' progress and preparing reports for the parents and or relatives.

Assisting Teachers in counseling parents/caregivers on the requirements and development of the client.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff.

Education and Work Experience:

A Paraprofessional Certification from Public or Private School System

Associate's degree in Education.

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development, Education or another liberal arts program preferred
