Skippers Cove is a fast casual waterfront restaurant located at the base of the north bridge in Fort Pierce. We are inspired by the beauty and bounty of the Treasure Coast, with a mission to nourish and support our community with delicious food every day. Our entrees, salads, sandwiches sides, and sauces are prepared in-house from scratch, and we’re always looking for new ways to support our community of customers, partners, and employees.
About the Role
We are seeking a DAY time 10am-4pm Assistant Manager with at least 2 years of restaurant management experience to oversee all front of house and back of house operations. And will work collaboratively with the other restaurant leaders to ensure the entire team is well-trained and organized to provide our guests with a best-in-class experience, while effectively managing controllable operating costs to ensure the long-term success of the business. The expectations of the role include, but are not limited to:
Employee hiring, training, management, and retention, including key mid-level managers
Consistent and effective P&L management
Outstanding guest relations and a focus on a best-in-class dining experience
Food safety expertise and practice
Conflict resolution and team motivation
Meeting and exceeding financial and profitability goals
Facility upkeep and maintenance
Qualifications
You have 2+ years in a Management position in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (quick service or fast casual restaurant experience preferred).
You have managed a P&L statement, driving revenue and effectively managing costs.
You have successfully onboarded, trained and managed a team of key employees.
You have the proven ability to build, lead, and motivate a cohesive team.
You are a certified ServSafe manager.
You are passionate about making and serving high-quality, delicious food.
You collaborate with other managers to maintain a welcoming, fun, and safe work environment for all employees.
You obsess about the customer experience and take action to ensure every customer is satisfied.
You have the mindset of "act like an owner," taking true responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
You are action-oriented, correcting mistakes and finding creative solutions.
You are fair and polite, seeking the good in others and assuming positive intent.
You have excellent communication skills, as well as strong emotional and social intelligence.
You have strong computer skills and can navigate multiple restaurant technology systems with ease.
The ability to perform physical requirements of the position (the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds)
