Respond to environmental emergencies within 24 hours.
Perform technical field and office work.
Operate various mechanical equipment (e.g., Vac Trucks, Super Duster, forklifts).
Conduct clean-up and decontamination procedures.
Maintain inventory lists and complete reports.
Understand spill response terminology and principles.
Know proper storage, treatment, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Be aware of hazards associated with hazardous wastes.
Work well with the public, clients, and colleagues.
Field phone calls and communicate with Field Supervisors.
Perform limited chemical tests and handle various chemicals.
Prepare equipment and keep accurate field log books.
Perform manual labor tasks (e.g., sweeping, shoveling, pushing, pulling).

Job TypeThis is a contract to hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Titusville, Florida.Work Environment
Work outside in very hot temperatures, confined spaces, and around hazardous chemicals.
Confined space work includes petroleum and wastewater treatment tanks.
Technicians average 55 hours/week (range: 40-80 hours).
Crews typically consist of 3-5 people (driver, equipment operator, technician).
Fully on-site position in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.
Contract position for 6 months.
Currently running 2 shifts: 12-hour shifts (6 AM - 6 PM), 7 days/week.
Will shift to 3 shifts: 10-hour shifts/day when more people are hired.
