Description:
Company needs a total of 10 techs, for their gear shop. For the gear shop, the ideal individual comes from the an automotive service center/has an automotive background.
Will also take individuals out of the military that worked on aircraft or vehicles. Will also take people from aviation assembly that have good working knowledge or micrometers and calipers.
Under the direction of the Production Shop Supervisor, the Gear Technician services aircraft landing gear components through troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and parts replacement at the component/depot level using manuals and other data.
This position requires strong mechanical ability and great attention to detail.
A Gear Technician must be willing to accomplish both repetitive and unfamiliar tasks on a regular basis with the use of aviation repair manuals.
Ideal Skills:
Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Landing Gear, Micrometer, Calipers
Qualifications:
1-3 years of Experience in backshop Aircraft Maintenance assembly preferred but will take experience related to hydraulics/pneumatics experience within the automotive industry or military.
MUST have working knowledge and experience with micrometers and calipers and manuals.
