We are looking for a highly motivated customer service agent to start immediately with a Connecticut-based same-day rush courier company. We are a rapidly growing company with expanding service in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and Florida.
This position can be stressful, and the hours for this job will not be for everyone.
Specifically, we are looking for someone that would have the flexibility of hours, we are hiring for post-training hours Saturday & Sunday daytime 8am-8pm with Tuesday &; Wednesday noon-8pm. Both overnight and weekday weekends are required. We are not hiring for weekend overnight as single shift.
Prior experience as a dispatcher is not required, as this is very teachable to the right candidate.
Candidates must be able to multitask and stay cool under pressure.
Things heat up and things cool downand this must be adaptable and acceptable to the candidate.
Must have clear English-speaking ability.
Computer skills are necessaryfamiliarity with MS Word, MS EXCEL, and MS ACCESS is a plus.
Though this is not a sales job, you will be working with people and assigning jobs to couriers that have varying personalities. Dispatchers will have to be able to convince people to work when we are extremely busy.
We need people who care about their work as much as they care about a decent paycheck.
Starting Wage $19 an hour
