Premier Express is looking for a highly motivated dispatcher to start immediately with a Connecticut-based same-day rush courier company. We are a multi-state company with offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and Florida.
This position can be stressful but manageable for someone who can handle solving problems, and the hours for this job will not be for everyone.
Specifically, we are looking for someone who would have the flexibility hours; we are hiring for post-training hours for the following: (Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm). You will be asked in the future to help cover shifts for when other employees need time off, which could include hours up until 8 pm and weekends.
Prior experience as a dispatcher is not required, as this is very teachable to the right candidate.
Candidates must be able to multitask and stay cool under pressure.
Things heat up, and things cool downand this must be adaptable and acceptable to the candidate.
Must have clear English-speaking ability.
Computer skills are necessaryfamiliarity with MS Word, MS EXCEL, and MS ACCESS is a plus.
Though this is not a sales job, you will work with people and assign jobs to couriers with varying personalities. Dispatchers will have to convince people to work when we are extremely busy.
We need people who care about their work as much as about a decent paycheck.
