Yard Superintendent

Supervise a wood waste recycling yard crew and tree crew. Must be a proven leader that is extremely detail oriented to oversee two separate crews. The yard crew must be required to maintain their equipment, alert supervisor to any equipment issues that develop, and perform all tasks associated with running our recycling yard. Candidate must be well spoken and able to represent us professionally and courteously during projects with the Port of Tampa. Superintendent will ensure that our tree crew has all their equipment maintained and in good working order. They will be required to keep track of any deficiencies in the tree crew's equipment and vehicles. They will be responsible for obtaining parts/repair services and any follow-up necessary to provide our tree crew with all the tools they require to complete jobs in a safe and competent manner. There will be times when trips to tree jobs may be necessary, but the position is more yard based providing support before the tree crew leaves the yard and afterwards addressing any issues that require attention at days end.
